Yeah, I have to admit, I'm leaning more and more towards the Canon route for the grip. Sounds like the old saying "buy cheap, buy twice" applies here. I generally only need a single grip anyways (I also have two 5d mark IV bodies), as I like to have one that is gripped for my main studio body, and one non-gripped for location/available light usage.

The Pixel grip is very well constructed. The rubber texture and feel is indistinguishable from the rubber cover of the 5D3. The tripod socket is reinforced by a steel base plate inside the grip, not fully integrated into the grip body as the original grip. The base plate is secured to the plastic grip body by screws. This external, lithium ion battery can be recharged hundreds of times with no memory effect and is much more versatile than a traditional camera grip. The E6 Power is compatible with Canon 7D Mark II, 7D, 5D Mark II, 5D Mark III, 5D Mark IV, 5DS, 5DS R, 60D, 60Da, 70D, 80D, 6D, and 6D Mark II cameras as well as any other camera or accessory Easy to Handle - The buttons and trigger are easy to reach for every essential control. A flared battery grip makes extended holding easier and slip-resistant, letting you capture moments throughout the day. Compatible with Most Cameras - DJI Ronin App requires iOS 11.0, Android 7.0 or above.
The EOS 5D Mark IV’s battery lasts up to 900 shots – and if you need to extend the battery life, you can buy the BG-E20 external grip, which holds up to two LP-E6/LP-E6N batteries. Keep in mind that, while the 5D Mark IV’s design is very similar to the older EOS 5D Mark III, their battery grips are not compatible with one another.
